Data Analysis from Consortial DDA Programs

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Slides from Kathi Fountain

In this session, speakers from consortial DDA programs BLC (BOSTON Library Consortium), FLO (Fenway Libraries Online), 5 Colleges, and Orbis Cascade Alliance will show and explain the data analysis they have done to evaluate their programs and discuss the changes they made based on the trends uncovered. The objective of the session is to show how much data is available and how valuable the analysis is for making decisions about DDA programs. Audience members will have the opportunity to learn what metrics other groups are looking at that they could incorporate into their own consortial programs or even into their individual institutional DDA plans. This session will include examples from a variety of data sources and business intelligence tools, including Excel, putting some of the skills learned at the “Excelling with Excel” preconference to good use.

Program Manager, Orbis Cascade Alliance
I'm a 3-year veteran of the Alliance, where I have managed the consortium's e-book program, electronic resources activities, and shared collections initiatives. When not manipulating spreadsheets and writing emails, I can be found taking my son on adventures, walking my two dogs, and cooking. || | The Orbis Cascade Alliance is a 39-member academic library consortium in the Pacific Northwest.

I am passionate about innovation and outreach to patrons as well as maintaining and cultivating the relevancy of libraries. I am also fascinated with the dynamic e-books landscape and the implications for the future of collection development.
